Auctions
There are two basic parts to conducting an auction. The first is to enter the information about the items being auctioned, donor information, and bidders. The second is to monitor the auction items and select the bidder, enter the amount bid and payment information.

Drop Down Selection Lists
Classification of Items, Receipt Status of Items, Type of Auction are each populated from drop down lists. There are several pre-populated choices included. You can change or add these choices. - Bidder Information
Information on Auction Bidders
Bidder information needs to be entered one time for each of the Bidders at your auctions. This information only needs to be entered one time as the application maintains a database which can be used for each auction. - Contact Information
Contact Information
Contacts are simply organizations which have a relationship with your organization. These are usually donors. Auction 2009 allows you the ability to maintain relationships with your contacts by maintaining a database with their contact information. You can email them directly from the application. Each contact is assigned to a member of your organization to eliminate the possibility of them being contacted by more than one person. - Auction Items
Entering Auction Items
Each auction item needs to be entered, or imported from a spreadsheet or file. This information is used by the auctioneer to describe each item. It also is used to gather report information regarding each auction, such as Total Sales, Net Profit, and so forth.
Working The Auction
- Auctions
Each auction is organized by date. A list is generated from the auction items entered in the previous step and filtered by date. If an item doesn't sell in one auction simply change the date on the item to the next auction date. In this module persons from your organization will bring up each item on a computer while it is being auctioned. When the item is sold, enter the bidder and and amount bid. That's it! - Event Title
